One of my favorite “peace” verses is Isaiah 26:3. I’d like to share it from a few different translations:
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee.” (KJV)
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (NLT)
“People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole,
steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don’t quit.” (The Message)
My husband just finished his last full semester of school here at Fort Hood. He has a shorter summer term left, and then he will be done. It’s hard to believe that it’s that time already!
When we first got here, there was one possibility, one plan, for what we would do when our time in Texas was over. Now there are about four.
Graduation day is August 9th, which also means that is our last day here on current orders. Um, that’s less than 3 months from now.
Ya’ll–I need some of that peace! I know in my head that God will take care of us and give us wisdom for the next steps. Letting that sink into my heart and not worry about timing or details that must be worked out is what I’m praying for now.
Is there a situation which is taking your focus off the only one who can bring peace?
Fix, stay, set your mind on him. We can pray for each other to be able to do that!
